Our Story
Friends of Ferals TNR and Cat Rescue was founded in 2022 by a compassionate Port Neches resident who is passionate about improving the lives of cats. The journey began when the founder noticed an increasing number of cats in her neighborhood and decided to take action. After learning about Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) methods, she launched a Facebook fundraiser that raised approximately $3,000 to support TNR efforts and care for homeless cats and kittens.
Initially focused solely on TNR, the organization soon encountered cats and kittens in urgent need of help—those that were sick, injured, or abandoned. This led to the expansion of services to include cat rescue, allowing for the care of friendly cats and kittens that could be adopted. Currently, Friends of Ferals operates within the Port Neches area, ensuring that resources are effectively utilized to make a significant impact on the local feline community.
Our Impact
