Our Story

Friends of Feeney was founded in response to the heartbreaking losses experienced by families in West Hartford. In 2014, Eric Feeney, a dedicated teacher, witnessed the profound impact of tragedy when a student’s father passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind four children and a grieving wife. The following year, another student lost his father to violence, further highlighting the urgent need for community support. These experiences ignited a passion in Eric to create a network of care and assistance for families facing similar hardships.
