Friends of Edna's Maternity Hospital was founded to address the urgent healthcare needs in Somaliland, focusing on maternal and infant health. The organization supports the Edna Adan University Hospital, operational since 2002, and aims to train healthcare professionals while combating harmful practices like female genital mutilation.

Impact

Significantly improving maternal and child health, the organization has trained 1,000 midwives and provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Over 30,000 babies have been born at Edna Hospital, showcasing the direct impact of these efforts.
