Our Story

Founded in 1995, Friends of Deckers Creek began as a passionate group of kayakers, rock climbers, and anglers who recognized the beauty and potential of Deckers Creek, despite its environmental challenges. This informal coalition organized clean-ups and monitored water quality, laying the groundwork for a dedicated nonprofit. By 2000, FODC achieved 501(c)(3) status and has since focused on restoring the watershed through remediation projects and community outreach.
