Founded in 2019 by passionate shelter volunteers, Friends of Dallas Animal Services is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by municipal shelters. This volunteer-run organization raises essential funds to support the pets and people at Dallas Animal Services, the only open intake shelter in Dallas.
Thanks to the generosity of incredible donors, 100% of requests for financial assistance have been fulfilled, bridging the gap between city funding and the cost of innovative programs at DAS. Over $1,347,996 has been provided to DAS from September 2019 through September 2024.
