Our Story

Friends of China Camp was founded in 2012 to protect China Camp State Park from closure. Taking over operations from the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the organization has grown from fewer than 50 supporters to nearly 3,000 members, fostering a vibrant community dedicated to preserving this natural treasure.
