Our Story

Founded in 1990, Friends of Children Inc is dedicated to advocating for high-risk children who often fall through the cracks of support systems. With a focus on individual case advocacy, the organization has been a beacon of hope for children with multiple special needs. The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program, initiated in 1993, has expanded its reach to serve children in both Hampshire and Franklin Counties, ensuring that every child has a voice.

Over the years, Friends of Children has provided essential advocacy services to more than 15,000 children, 99% of whom are low-income. The organization's commitment to policy advocacy is transforming lives daily.
