Our Story
Founded in 1941, Camp Natoma began as a vision of the Natoma Council of Camp Fire Girls, who purchased 200 acres of unimproved land in the Adelaide district west of Paso Robles. Under the leadership of Director Gladys Cooper, the camp transformed from a simple outdoor dining experience to a cherished summer retreat. Volunteers dedicated countless hours to build essential facilities, including a burlap-covered dining hall and a gravity-fed water system, creating a lasting legacy of summer fun and adventure.
