Our Story

The mission of Briar Bush Nature Center is to inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds to explore and protect nature through curiosity and scientific inquiry. Established in 1908 by Quaker couple Everett and Florence Griscom, this refuge for wildlife has evolved significantly since the Friends of Briar Bush was founded in 1974 to enhance educational and community objectives.
