The Business of Sports School

Our Story

The Business of Sports School (BOSS) was established in partnership with the New York City Department of Education, New Visions for Public Schools, and F∙E∙G∙S Health and Human Services System, opening its doors in September 2009. This small Career & Technology Education (CTE) public high school focuses on preparing students for careers in the sports industry through a curriculum that integrates real-life challenges and skills. BOSS offers pathways in Entrepreneurship and General Business Administration, with a major in Sports Management.

Impact

BOSS prepares students for successful careers in the sports industry by providing them with a Regents diploma, a Career & Technical Education endorsement in Business Management & Entrepreneurship, and hands-on experience through internships and industry partnerships. The school has established post-secondary articulation agreements with several colleges, allowing students to earn college credits while still in high school.
