Our Story

Beckman Mill, originally known as Howe’s Mill, was built in 1868 and has a rich history of community involvement. Restored by Friends of Beckman Mill, this nonprofit organization has been dedicated to preserving the mill and educating the public about its historical significance since 1990.

Our Impact

The successful restoration of Beckman Mill has transformed it into an operational historical educational site. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the mill hosts various events that engage the public and promote local history.
