Our Story

In early 2003, a dedicated group of local residents united to protect the scenic beauty of Badger Mountain. Recognizing the urgent need to preserve these ridges from irreversible development, they formed the Friends of Badger Mountain. Their mission became clear when 574 acres of pristine land became available for purchase, aiming to secure it as open space for future generations.

Through their efforts, the preservation of quality ridge land has been achieved, contributing to the Rivers-to-Ridges public trail system.
