Our Story

Friends After Diagnosis was born from the shared vision of three courageous women: Fran Basso, Tammy Blackwill, and Lin Reading. Each of them, having faced the challenges of cancer, recognized a critical gap in support for women battling breast and other women's cancers in Indian River County. Their determination led to the establishment of a community-focused support group that has since evolved to serve all women diagnosed with cancer.
