Our Story

The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick of New Bedford originated from the Robert Emmet Club, founded in 1941 to honor the Irish patriot Robert Emmet. This organization has evolved into a vibrant community that celebrates Irish heritage through various charitable events and social gatherings.

Impact

Each year, the organization awards over a dozen scholarships totaling more than $20,000 to local students based on academic merit and need, regardless of their background. Additionally, they engage in community service activities, including food and toy distribution during the holidays.
