Our Story

Friendly House first opened its doors in 1920 as a small three-room settlement house in Worcester, Massachusetts, dedicated to promoting neighborhood health and welfare, especially for recent immigrants. Over the years, it has evolved into a multi-service neighborhood center, providing vital support to thousands of residents.

Impact

In the past year, over 25,000 residents received assistance from Friendly House. The Social Service Department alone helped more than 3,000 individuals seeking food, shelter, and counseling. Additionally, nearly 4,000 young people benefited from safe, creative programs during school vacations and summer camps.
