Friendly Center

Our Story

Founded in 1924 by a men’s bible study, Friendly Center began its mission to assist impoverished local farm workers and their families. Officially becoming a non-profit corporation in March 1967, it has evolved into a vital resource with four family centers across three cities. As the oldest non-profit in Orange County, Friendly Center remains dedicated to its mission of improving lives and helping families move toward self-sufficiency.

Impact

In 2023, Friendly Center served 5,922 households, provided case management for 334 families, and distributed over 234,064 lbs of food.
