Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Pastor Rick Kremer, Fresh Start Pallet Products began as a social enterprise in the backyard of Grace Lutheran Church in Hartford, Connecticut. Volunteers crafted benches from discarded wooden pallets, evolving into a robust organization focused on training and job creation. With the establishment of the Richard P. Garmany Fresh Start Academy, the nonprofit has expanded its operations, providing individuals with essential skills and opportunities for a sustainable future.

Our Impact

Fresh Start Pallet Products has successfully trained individuals in carpentry and drywall, equipping them with skills for long-term employment. The organization proudly celebrates multiple graduation classes from its academy, showcasing the transformative power of education and hands-on training.
