Our Story
Freedom Global Outreach began in 2002 through a partnership between Haitian Pastor Martinez Jovin and Dave and Sonya Lock. Pastor Jovin envisioned a safe haven for orphaned and abandoned children in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After acquiring a property in 2004, the first group of girls entered the care of Freedom Global Outreach in November of that year, marking the beginning of a loving family for these children.
In 2008, the mission expanded to Southern Haiti with the opening of a second home in Jacmel, where more children found shelter and care. As of early 2015, the Bethesda home has been renovated to accommodate 28 girls, while the Jacmel home provides refuge for 32 girls and 17 boys. Over the years, Freedom Global Outreach has rescued a total of 76 children, providing them with a nurturing environment and a chance for a brighter future.
