Mark, while shooting hoops, envisioned a way to combine his love for basketball with helping those facing difficult times. This vision became a reality when a care package was created for a family in his small group experiencing the loss of their child. Thus, Free Throws for Kids was born, dedicated to uplifting families during their toughest moments.
Over 1,000 kids and families are surprised each year with care packages at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Monthly donations of $3,000 are provided to the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House for nutritious food options, and $10,000 is granted annually to assist families through Cincinnati's Liberty branch social services department.
Your contributions directly support families in need, with 100% of funds raised going to the cause. As a fully volunteer-based organization, every dollar counts. Families have expressed how uplifting it is to receive care packages during challenging times, reminding them that they are not alone in their struggles.
