Founded in 2018 by Samantha Knaub Huesman after her transformative experience volunteering in Zambia, Free Haven Community Initiative (FHCI) aims to provide a holistic approach to support vulnerable communities. With a focus on education, nutrition, health, and empowerment, FHCI began with a student sponsorship program and has since expanded its initiatives to combat poverty and promote gender equality.
Since its inception, FHCI has positively impacted over 800 students and community members. The organization has provided sponsorship for 130 students, daily meals for 60 students, and essential food supplies to 220 families each month, significantly improving the lives of those in need in Livingstone, Zambia.
