Our Story

Founded in 1964, the Frederick Rescue Mission began with a simple thrift store and a 10-bed shelter for homeless men. Over the decades, it has evolved into a beacon of hope in downtown Frederick, transforming a former jail into a nurturing environment. The Mission has established vital programs such as the Bread of Life Community Kitchen, Changed Life Recovery Program, and Faith House, addressing the pressing needs of the homeless and those battling addiction.
