Franklin County Community Meals Program
EIN: 22-3027098 · Greenfield, MA
Our Story
The Franklin County Community Meals Program was established in March 1984 by a dedicated social justice group at All Souls Unitarian Church. This initiative invited various organizations to collaborate in providing free meals for those in need within Franklin County. The first community meal was served in Greenfield in July 1984, marking the beginning of a compassionate journey. By February 1989, FCCMP proudly acquired its 501(c)(3) non-profit status, allowing it to expand its reach and services.
Impact
Today, FCCMP provides over 25,000 free meals annually to food-insecure individuals across Franklin County. With multiple meal sites and food pantries, the organization has established programs that enhance food access, including home delivery services and a mobile food bank.
