Our Story

Founded in 1977 by Jerry and Phoebe Levine, the Bridgton 4 on the Fourth Road Race began as a small community event with just 28 runners. Over the years, it has evolved into a major race, attracting nearly 2100 participants from across the country and beyond. Managed by dedicated volunteers, this event has a strong commitment to supporting the Bridgton Public Library and local non-profits through its proceeds.

Impact

In 2023, the race raised an impressive $62,000, donating $56,500 to the Bridgton Public Library and $5,500 to other local non-profits, showcasing its significant impact on community resources and programs.
