Our Story
Founded on November 21, 2007, the Foundation to Assist Young Musicians (FAYM) was established by Harold Weller, the Founding Music Director and Conductor Laureate of the Las Vegas Philharmonic. With the support of generous donors and dedicated volunteers, FAYM is committed to nurturing young musicians up to the age of 26, particularly those in need of financial and mentoring assistance. The organization also focuses on providing innovative musical programs for children in low-income communities.
Impact
FAYM has expanded its reach from 15 to 230 students across 51 elementary schools, offering programs at four community center locations. The 'Violins for Kids' project equips children with instruments, materials, and lessons, all for a nominal fee, ensuring that music education is accessible to all.
