About Iman Academy

The Foundation to Advance Islamic Teaching in Houston, known as Iman Academy, was established in 1996 to fulfill the educational needs of Muslim families in Houston. With a commitment to academic excellence and moral development, Iman Academy has grown to operate two full-time schools in the Southeast and Southwest regions of the city.

Impact of Iman Academy

Iman Academy is dedicated to measuring student performance through standardized testing, ensuring that students are achieving key skills at appropriate ages. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills are utilized to assess academic progress. Notably, Iman Academy has been recognized as a TEA Exemplary School and has achieved remarkable results, with over 96% of students meeting reading standards in 3rd and 5th grades. The school has also consistently ranked above the 70th National Percentile Rank in Iowa Test Scores across all grades.
