Empowering the Next Generation of Business Leaders

Founded in 1978 by a group of dedicated business leaders in Northwest Pennsylvania, the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education (FFEE) was established to address a critical gap in workforce readiness. Recognizing that young people entering the job market lacked a solid understanding of business principles and the American free enterprise system, FFEE launched Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW). This innovative program has since evolved to provide high school students with immersive experiences in business education.

Each summer, PFEW hosts multiple week-long sessions at Lycoming College and Pennsylvania College of Technology, engaging over 2,000 students and 250 business executives from across Pennsylvania. To date, more than 52,000 young Pennsylvanians have benefited from this unique educational opportunity. In addition to PFEW, FFEE has expanded its offerings to include The Stock Market Game™ and the Speaker Series, an online resource for career exploration and workforce preparedness.

Since its inception, FFEE has positively impacted over 123,000 students, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in the 21st-century workforce. With over 10,000 hours of volunteer service each year, the commitment to youth education in business and economics is unwavering.
