Our Story

Founded in 1965 by dedicated Teacher Directors from community-based cooperative nursery schools, the Foundation for Early Childhood Education has been a beacon of hope for young children and their families. With a commitment to quality education, the Foundation administers a Head Start – State Preschool Program, a full-day Child Development Center, and a Parent Education Project. Pioneering the Head Start Continuation Learning Program, it ensures continuity for children from Head Start through the third grade.
