Fresh Start Furnishings

Our Story

Founded in 2016, Fresh Start Furnishings emerged from the collaboration of three dedicated women from different churches in Harford County. They recognized a critical gap in support for families transitioning into homes, as existing organizations focused solely on shelter. By December 2017, the nonprofit received its tax-exempt designation, allowing it to expand its mission to provide essential furnishings and home goods to those in need.

Impact

As of July 2023, Fresh Start Furnishings has successfully furnished over 1,126 homes, delivering more than $290,000 worth of donated goods. This initiative not only supports families but also rescues reusable items from landfills, promoting sustainability in the community.
