Our Story

The Foster Care Advocacy Center was founded by Tara Grigg Green and Alex Hunt, who share a deep commitment to improving the foster care system. Inspired by her biological parents' dedication to over 100 foster siblings, Tara pursued law and policy degrees to advocate for change. Alex, a Teach For America alum and family law attorney, began working with foster children during law school, leading to a partnership focused on creating a more just child welfare system.

By providing holistic representation for children and parents in the child welfare system, the Foster Care Advocacy Center aims to reduce the time children spend in foster care and prevent unnecessary removals.
