In 1992, a dedicated group of certified educators came together to launch a General Educational Development (GED) program, driven by a passion to uplift individuals through education. By 2004, the need for food assistance led to the establishment of a food pantry, which later merged with the GED program to form the Fossil Creek Community Development Center in 2006. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is committed to serving the economically disadvantaged in North Fort Worth.
Since its inception, The Center has provided essential groceries to 45-50 families weekly at no cost. Additionally, over 250 homeless individuals receive hot meals each month, and qualifying children benefit from summer lunches, ensuring no child goes hungry.
