Our Story

Forward Momentum Chicago is dedicated to providing dance education to children in communities with limited access to the arts. Founded nearly a decade ago, this organization focuses on serving schools in the south and southwest neighborhoods of Chicago, ensuring that BIPoC communities have equitable access to transformative dance programs.

Impact

Over the past 10 years, Forward Momentum Chicago has positively impacted the lives of over 40,000 students aged 5-18. By partnering with 50 schools and organizations, offering free Saturday classes, and running a summer dance camp, FMC expands access to dance education for underserved communities.
