Our Story
Fort Bend Family Promise opened its doors in 2005, inspired by the urgent need for support for homeless families in Fort Bend County. As part of a national network, this organization has provided shelter, meals, and essential services to over 650,000 family members across 43 states. Utilizing an interfaith network of local congregations, families are housed and fed on a rotational basis, allowing them to focus on regaining their independence.
Impact
In 2015 alone, Fort Bend Family Promise successfully assisted 163 individuals (46 families) in securing permanent housing, with an impressive 90 percent achieving this goal. The organization’s comprehensive support helps families regain their dignity and independence.
