Our Story

The Forsyth Backpack Program is a dedicated, volunteer-led organization committed to alleviating childhood hunger in Forsyth County. By providing nutritious food in backpacks to local school children in need, the program ensures that these children have access to essential meals over weekends and holidays.

Impact

Since its inception, the Forsyth Backpack Program has successfully provided weekend meals to approximately 470 students each school year and has served between 1,100-1,500 children during long holiday breaks. This initiative has raised over $417,000 since 2013, making a significant impact on the community.
