About Forgotten Cats
Founded in 2003, Forgotten Cats, Inc. is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the humane reduction of the homeless cat population through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR) services. Operating across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey, Forgotten Cats specializes in working with colony caregivers to identify and care for feral cat colonies. The organization is committed to a no-kill policy, ensuring that every cat receives the care it deserves.
Our Mission
Forgotten Cats aims to stabilize feral cat colonies by trapping and sterilizing every cat within the colony, preventing further suffering and overpopulation. Each year, approximately 20% of the cats treated are not feral; these include stray cats and feral kittens under 12 weeks old, which are placed into a dedicated adoption network.
Impact
Since its inception, Forgotten Cats has successfully sterilized over 200,000 cats, preventing the birth and suffering of millions of kittens. Additionally, the organization has placed over 20,000 cats into loving, forever homes, providing hope and care to those in need.
