Our Story

Founded in 1995 by Joel and Chemaine Almquist, Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary began as a heartfelt mission to rescue and care for exotic and native animals. Achieving nonprofit status in 2000, the sanctuary gained national recognition in 2009 when 'Extreme Home Makeover: Home Edition' helped rebuild the facility, enhancing its capacity to provide refuge and care.
