Our Story
Beginning its journey in the late 1800s, The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center has become a vital part of the region's cultural and educational landscape. Governed by the Forest Park Zoological Society, this nonprofit organization is home to over 225 native and non-native animal residents, showcasing a diverse array of species. Collaborating with wildlife rehabilitators across the United States, The Zoo provides care for animals that cannot be released back into the wild due to injury, illness, or other factors. By offering a permanent, loving home for these animals, The Zoo aims to educate visitors and inspire them to become advocates for wildlife conservation.
