Our Story

Since 1985, Foothills Land Conservancy has been dedicated to conserving the natural beauty of the Southeast. Originating from a grassroots effort in Blount County to prevent a massive amusement park in Tuckaleechee Cove, this organization has evolved into a powerful movement for land conservation. Over the years, FLC has successfully protected more than 200,000 acres, including working farms, wildlife refuges, and public greenways.

Impact

With a commitment to preserving forests, mountains, and scenic vistas, Foothills Land Conservancy has completed hundreds of projects that safeguard the region's natural heritage.
