Our Story

Founded in 2011 by Becca Self, FoodChain is dedicated to increasing access to locally sourced, fresh food for everyone. Through innovative methods of direct food access and a unique indoor aquaponic farm, the organization empowers the community in Lexington, KY.

Impact

FoodChain aims to create a sustainable food system that ensures equal access to fresh, nutritious food while equipping individuals with the knowledge to make informed choices. Thousands of meals have been served, and food literacy education has been provided since inception.
