The Foodbank

Our Story

For over 40 years, The Foodbank has been the cornerstone of hunger relief in the Miami Valley. As the only food bank of its kind in the area, it plays a vital role in acquiring and distributing food through a network of over 100 partner agencies, including food pantries, community kitchens, and shelters. The mission is clear: "Eliminating hunger and its root causes." This is achieved daily through strategic efforts focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion, advocacy, and reentry initiatives.

Impact

Each day, The Foodbank serves over 37,000 meals, making it a crucial part of Feeding America’s network of 206 food banks across the United States. Beyond addressing immediate hunger, The Foodbank is committed to disaster relief, community development, and promoting equity and inclusion.
