Our Story
Food Bank for the Heartland is dedicated to eliminating hunger in the Heartland by ensuring consistent access to healthy foods through community partnerships. For over 40 years, this organization has provided emergency and supplemental food to neighbors in Nebraska and western Iowa, relying on a network of 544 partners and the support of volunteers, advocates, and donors.
Impact
In FY 2024, Food Bank for the Heartland distributed 24.9 million meals across its service area, helping 63,946 households through its Mobile Pantry Program and providing 8,404 packs of weekend meals to children through the BackPack Program.
