Our Story

The Food Bank Council of Michigan was established in 1984 to create a unified approach to combat hunger across the state. By increasing emergency food resources and advocating for the hunger relief network, FBCM has developed innovative strategies tailored to the unique needs of each community.

Impact

With approximately 15 percent of Michigan residents and 18 percent of children facing food insecurity, FBCM is dedicated to executing a visionary strategic plan aimed at achieving a food secure Michigan.
