Our Story

The Food Pantries for the Capital District was established in 1979 by the Urban Ministries Fellowship, growing from 10 member food pantries to over 65 today. This organization is dedicated to addressing hunger in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties.

Impact

Each year, the Food Pantries provide groceries for 3.9 million meals, supporting over 89,000 food-insecure individuals, including 27,000 children.
