Food Literacy Center

Our Story

Founded in July 2011 by Amber Stott, Food Literacy Center addresses the critical gap in food education for low-income children. By teaching cooking, nutrition, gardening, and active play, the organization inspires kids to eat their vegetables and make healthier choices.

Impact

Food Literacy Center has reached 16 schools in the Sacramento area, providing after-school programs that instill lifelong healthy habits in children.
