Our Story

Established in 2010, Food For Thought Outreach began as a small family initiative aimed at serving food-insecure students in a single school. With a modest budget of $300, founder Tiffanie Nelson collaborated with her son’s school to provide essential food access to children in need. Over the past eleven years, this grassroots effort has evolved into a vital organization combating childhood hunger across Walton and Okaloosa Counties.

Our Impact

Food For Thought Outreach is dedicated to bridging the meal gap for food insecure children, empowering them to excel in their education. Currently, the organization provides weekly access to nutritious meals for 3,600 school-aged children across 35 locations, ensuring they can focus on learning without the burden of hunger.
