Our Story

Founded in 1989 by Arlene Mercer, Food Finders began at her kitchen table with a few volunteers dedicated to delivering donated restaurant overages to local shelters. Today, it stands as a leading food rescue nonprofit in California.

Impact

In 2022 alone, Food Finders rescued over 22 million pounds of food, providing essential nourishment to more than 471 nonprofit partners across five counties in Southern California.
