Our Story

Founded in Asheville, North Carolina, Food Connection bridges the gap between surplus food from caterers and the needs of local nonprofits. Since December 2014, over 650,000 surplus chef-prepared meals have been rescued and delivered to those in need, significantly reducing food waste.

Impact

In the first month following Tropical Storm Helene, Food Connection distributed over 43,000 meals, showcasing its rapid response to community needs and commitment to alleviating food insecurity.
