Food Bank of the Albemarle

Our Story

The Food Bank of the Albemarle is dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty across a 15-county area in northeastern North Carolina. By serving as a regional clearinghouse, it collects and distributes food and grocery items to over 100 nonprofit and faith-based organizations, as well as directly to individuals in need.

With over 100 hunger relief partners operating 145 programs, the Food Bank significantly impacts food insecurity in the region, providing essential support to men, women, and children.
