Our Story
The Food Bank of South Jersey was founded in 1985 by a group of 13 passionate individuals in Camden, NJ, who believed that no one should go hungry. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital resource for millions facing food insecurity, distributing over 150 million pounds of food and serving more than 1 million nutritious meals to vulnerable children.
Impact
In 2023 alone, the Food Bank distributed 17.9 million pounds of food and provided over 860,000 meals to children who were missing meals during remote learning.
