Our Story
In 1997, Josephine Isenbergh's journey began when she welcomed a daughter with Down Syndrome. Recognizing the significant gap in services for individuals with disabilities within the school system, she collaborated with other parents and a school board member to establish Focus Academy in 2013. This initiative aimed to enhance educational opportunities for children with disabilities. By 2016, a transition program for high school graduates was developed, and in 2021, Focus Forward was launched, providing an adult day training program designed to foster independence and social skills for young adults with disabilities.
