Our Story

Founded in 1984 by Jane and Lawrence Burke, Flying Cloud Institute began as a community education center on a 200-acre colonial farmstead in New Marlborough, MA. Over the years, it has evolved into a vibrant hub for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education, serving over 2,000 youth and local educators annually. With programs hosted in public schools, libraries, and educational centers, FCI is dedicated to fostering creativity and innovation in the next generation.
